A warning has been shared with parents after a child was allegedly followed into their home.
Sefton Council sent details about the incident to schools in the borough, so that teachers could then make parents aware. The incident involved a junior school child who was playing out near their home.
A man, between the age of 25 to 35, was then reported to have followed the child into their house, asking to borrow a phone charger. The man was then told to leave by the parent.

The incident was reported to police and no injuries were reported. Now schools in Sefton, including Maghull High, have shared the details to parents and guardians and asked them to remain aware of "stranger danger."
A spokesperson for Sefton Council said the incident was shared as part of their regular communications to all Sefton Schools. They explained that if a school is aware of any concerns, issues, or incidents they inform the Council, who then informs all headteachers across the borough, so they can raise awareness and ask families to be vigilant.
The council also confirmed to the ECHO that the incident described happened elsewhere in the borough, not in Maghull.
