Motorists have been warned to take care when filling up their petrol cars.
If a car tank is accidently filled up with the the incorrect petrol then severe damage could occur - and with it costly repairs. According to the RAC, an estimated 600,000 drivers have been using E10 fuel in their older or classic cars - and it is not compatible.
While the fuel type is better for the environment than E5 fuel, it is not necessarily better for your car. You should check if your car is compatible before using it or face having to pay out for costly repairs.
