Amid the worsening cost of living crisis, and soaring energy prices, many of us are trying to find ways of drying our clothes that avoid using the tumble dryer.
The Energy Trust said tumble dryers, along with washing machines and dishwashers, account for a huge 14% of households' energy usage. Some dryers can use as much as £1.50 a cycle, which soon adds up.
With winter now well on its way, many of us have now resorted to putting the central heating on, some of the time at least, and hanging clothes on radiators to dry may seem like a good idea.
