An update has been issued to drivers who get their petrol from supermarket pumps. High petrol prices should have fallen by an extra 4p last month.
The 5p per litre reduction in fuel duty failed to stop prices rising to unseen levels in March. On Sunday (July 10) a record price was set at 191.5p.
Birmingham Live reports that motoring companies are accusing the retailers of not doing enough. They say they are acting too slow and not putting in large enough price cuts despite there being decreases in wholesale costs.
