A couple has shared a warning for dog owners after their beloved puppy died suddenly after a family walk. Roo, the Cocker Spaniel, had been taken for his daily walk on April 30, however, he died just hours later after playing in a nearby lake.
Owner Hannah May Washington said that she and her boyfriend Jordan Shearman had taken Roo to the Anton Lakes in Andover many times before, but they limited his time in the water that day as the lakes looked "incredibly dirty, much more so than normal." The walk continued as it normally would, but towards the end of the walk the couple noticed that Roo's eyes had become slightly droopy.
Hannah told WiltshireLive, "We figured he had gotten too much water in his eyes so we decided to end the walk and return to the car". However, during the journey home, the puppy's condition deteriorated rapidly, and Hannah said it was clear something was wrong.
