Warning issued for thunderstorms in north of England after possible heatwaves

Thunderstorms are threatening to hit large parts of northern England on Saturday, following possible heatwaves around the country.

Temperatures could reach up to 34C in isolated areas of England, but rain, hail and lightning could be on their way, a Met Office spokesperson has said.
