It has been called Britain's 'most dangerous plant' and is growing in Leeds with experts warning people to steer well clear of it. Giant hogweed is said to be spreading and, as well as being invasive, it could also cause serious health problems.
Experts at WhatShed have created maps to track where it is growing. And these maps show there are several giant hogweed hotspots across the Leeds area. The map shows hotspots along the River Aire in the city centre and in Rothwell, Kirkstall, Holbeck, Mickletown, Skelton, Meanwood, Woddlesford, among others.
