A motorcyclist has issued a warning after he says thieves using sophisticated equipment stole his bike in Nottingham. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he believes multiple other people were also targeted around the same time overnight on Saturday, April 23, through into Sunday morning.
Despite properly securing his bike at the property in Bulwell, he says a group of men who turned up and were captured on CCTV were able to use equipment to steal it within minutes. After posting about the experience on social media, in the hope of warning others about what happened and possibly finding his bike, he says multiple other people messaged to say a similar thing had happened to them around the same time.
He told Nottinghamshire Live: "I came outside in the morning to see it had been stolen. I was obviously gutted, that's a huge part of my life and my hobby - the only thing that helped was that I was handed my newborn straight away, which made me feel better.

"We checked the CCTV and saw multiple guys had turned up and had come with proper equipment. They had very, very heavy-duty cutting equipment. It seems like these guys were very well organised and knew exactly what they were doing."
He had hoped to eventually pass the bike on to a family member before it was stolen. Police say they are investigating what happened and have asked anyone with any information to get in touch with them.
Inspector Christine Busuttil, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Police were called to a house in Bulwell following reports that a motorbike had been stolen from outside the property. We understand that the bike was taken at around 11.10am on Sunday (24 April 2022).
“Our inquiries remain ongoing, so we’d ask anyone that has any further information that could assist with our investigation to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 219 of 24 April 2022.”
