Warframe has just had its next big update, and there are a lot of exciting things on offer right now and in the coming weeks with some major new content dropping in the near future. Whether you want a Syndicate, weekly quests, or a new Warframe, this update has got you covered on all counts.
We’ll break down the biggest changes in this update, so you know what’s new and where you can find it in-game. However, if you’re just getting started, then check out our Warframe beginner tips to make sure you’re getting the most out of the experience.
Styanax Warframe
The game’s namesake, Warframes determine your playstyle, all with their own unique weapons and abilities. The newest Warframe that this update adds is Styanax. This marks the game’s 50th Warframe, and you can get it for free from now until September 21, and all you have to do is log in to the game. It’ll have to be purchased or crafted after that, but there’s no reason not to hop on right now and claim your prize.
Veilbreaker quests - Warframe
This new questline is a follow-up to the previous New War as Kahl-175 returns. As you may have expected, in order to start this introductory quest, you’ll need to complete The New War questline. The rest of the content for Veilbreaker is coming next week as it still needs some polish, but you can dive in and get ready for the new Syndicate’s arrival right now.
Kahl’s Garrison Syndicate - Warframe
Coming next week, this new Syndicate will be found in the Drifter’s Camp on Earth. Rather than worrying about standing with this Syndicate, you’ll rank up in Kahl’s Garrison with weekly gameplay progress, making things run a lot smoother for you. By playing weekly Garrison Assignments, you’ll take the role of Kahl as he tries to free more victims from the Veil.
Archon Hunts - Warframe
As part of Kahl’s Garrison, you’ll be able to get your hands on new Archon Warframe mods, but available right now are the Archon Hunts as weekly missions. In them, you’ll face veiled opponents across several Narmer-controlled parts of the Origin System. Your goal will be to complete three objectives with restrictions in place. You can earn Legendary Cores, Orokin Blueprints, and plenty of Endo playing these quests. While they are replayable, you’ll only get the rewards once a week.
Archon Shards - Warframe
As a part of the Archon Hunts, you’ll get these new Archon Shards which serve as permanent upgrades that you can socket into a Warframe. There are several different types, Azure shards are defensive and received from Archon Hunts on Earth, Crimson shards are offensive and received from hunts on Mars, and finally, Amber shards are for utility, and received from hunts on Jupiter.
You can read the full Warframe patch notes on the game’s official blog, including a full breakdown of how to use Archon Shards.
