A wanted man was arrested after "suspicious activity" outside a Liverpool prison.
On Wednesday at around 10.30pm, a black Mercedes drove into the car park of HMP Liverpool, and the driver and three other men were acting suspiciously before driving off towards Rice Lane in Walton.
One eyewitness said they heard "loads of sirens and a police helicopter" in the Rice Lane area.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed a police helicopter undertook a search of the area.
Police detained and arrested a wanted man. He remains in police custody.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers have arrested a wanted man following suspicious activity outside HMP Liverpool (Walton Prison) last night (Wednesday, February 2).
"At around 10.30pm a black Mercedes drove into the car park of the prison, and the driver and three other male passengers were acting suspiciously before driving off towards Rice Lane.
"Officers assisted by National Police Air Service (NPAS) undertook a search of the area.
"Police detained and arrested a wanted man. He remains in police custody."
