Wanted duo accused of attacking man in Braddon venue

Police are asking for the public's help to identify two men accused of a violent assault in Canberra's inner north in July.

Police said the alleged victim suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident, reported about 7.50pm on Friday, July 31.

Both alleged offenders left the venue before police arrived and have not been successfully identified two months on.

In a public appeal on September 20, police released images and descriptions of the wanted men.

The first man has been described as Caucasian in appearance, suspected to be 20 years old, about 170cm (5'7") tall with a slim build and light brown hair.

At the time of the reported incident, he was said to be wearing a black quarter zip jumper, light brown chino pants and a thick gold necklace.

The second man was also described as Caucasian in appearance, about the same age as the first man, about 185cm (6'1") tall with a medium build, dark brown hair and a moustache.

The second man was said to be wearing a light brown puffer jacket and light brown pants at the time of the alleged assault in Braddon.

Investigators have urged anyone who recognised the men or who had information about the incident to come forward.
