NEW DELHI: Though Indian weightlifting has a proud history and legacy, it's one event India haven't managed to win a gold medal in at the Asian Games. It's not a surprise then to hear that Tokyo Olympics silver medallist Mirabai Chanu wants to change that statistic in Hangzhou.
The rescheduled Asian Games will begin in the capital city of China's Zhejiang Province after a delay of a year on September 23, and Chanu will once again be one of the leading Indian hopes for a medal, but she wants to settle for nothing less than a maiden weightlifting gold for the country.
