Waltair railway ferried 331% of passengers than previous year: DRM Anup Satpathy

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Waltair Railway Divisional Manager Anup Satpathy said that the Division is on a growth trajectory and is heading towards new goals. In the current financial year till July, Waltair Division has ferried 21.37 Million tons of freight that fetched Rs 2459.16 crores to the Division.

He said in the passenger traffic front this Division has done remarkable performance by providing a comfortable journey to 8.28 Million passengers, which is 331.25% more than last year, by fetching Rs 226.71 crores, which is 201.72% more than the corresponding period from April to July.
