Crisps manufacturer Walkers has dispelled a widely-believed myth about its packets - although some people are taking a lot of convincing.
A Reddit post detailed how fans of the potato snacks are convinced that the company originally used green packets for its Cheese and Onion variety and blue for Salt and Vinegar, accusing the Leicester-based company of switching the colours in recent years. However, this week Walkers confirmed that it has never changed the packet colour for its Cheese and Onion crisps and pointed out that the doubters must be confusing its packets with those of rival producers.
Walkers told Express.co.uk that while other brands, including Golden Wonder, use green hues for cheese flavours, its Cheese and Onion has always been in blue packets, and Salt and Vinegar has always been in green packets.
