Heinz and Walkers have teamed up for arguably the best (or worst, depending on your palette) culinary collaboration of the year.
Forget making a crisp butty. Now, you can make things easier by tucking into some sandwich-flavoured crisps from your favourite snack brands instead.
Walkers and Heinz are releasing three bespoke flavours: Sausage Sarnie and Heinz Ketchup, Roast Chicken and Heinz Mayo, and Cheese Toastie with Heinz Beanz.
Yes, you read that correctly: mayonnaise and beans-flavoured crisps are on the menu.
The three unique flavours are available for a limited time.
"We’ve all heard of a crisp sandwich. But now — thanks to the ultimate mind-bending move from iconic crisp brand, Walkers and fellow British legends, Heinz — you can taste sandwich-inspired crisps,” the Heinz and Walkers announcement read.
"The two brands have joined forces to create three new flavours to level up Brits’ lunchtimes, whether they’re CrispIN or CrispOUT of their sandwich.
“Seeing sandwich inception reach new heights, the new range includes a succulent roast chicken and Heinz Mayo flavour, a delicious sausage sarnie and Heinz Ketchup flavour combo, and a cheese and Heinz Beanz flavour toastie — all in a bag of crunchy Walkers crisps. Mind-blowing."
Based on a social media poll, shoppers were most curious about trying the cheese toastie and beanz flavour. Contrastingly, the chicken and mayo option didn’t generate as much excitement.
Some also hesitated at the news — shouldn’t a sausage sandwich come with brown sauce, after all?
“Sausage sarnie = Brown sauce. Bacon sarnie = Red,” wrote one social media user, to which the official Walkers Twitter profile responded “controversial take”.
Snackers can get their hands on the three new flavours at all the regular supermarkets. Big bags cost £1.25 and multipacks are £1.65.

While Walkers is known for its classic flavours, including cheese and onion, salt, and vinegar, the brand occasionally gets creative with its crisps.
For example, who can forget the brand’s pigs-in-blankets-flavoured seasonal crisps or the fish-and-chips-flavoured varieties it released to commemorate the nation’s most-loved dishes?
Not all flavours have stood the test of time either. Walkers discontinued its Worcester Sauce crisps in 2023.
