Walker residents clap for the Queen in her memory months after holding huge Platinum Jubilee street party

With Union flags flown at half mast, residents of Clipstone Avenue, in Walker, joined people across the nation in applauding in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.

It took place four days after the Queen's passing on September 8, and just three months after the street celebrated Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee with a huge street party.

Neighbour Pamela McKenna organised Clipstone Avenue's Clap for the Queen through a message in the street What'sApp group, which was set up because of the jubilee party.
