Scotland will hope to pile yet more misery on Wales as they head to Cardiff for matchday three of the Six Nations.
Gregor Townsend came into this tournament with his position as manager under some scrutiny, but the pressure has alleviated somewhat after last weekend’s impressive 31-20 defeat of England.
That win was made all the more notable by the fact that it followed a hugely disappointing tournament opener, where Scotland fell to a surprise defeat by Italy.
It also came in spite of Blair Kinghorn and Duhan van der Merwe being omitted from the matchday squad.

Both have been restored for this visit to Cardiff, though, as Townsend looks to take Scotland’s record to two wins from three in this competition and keep the pressure on runaway leaders France.
Wales, meanwhile, are now winless in their last 13 Six Nations matches, with their 2026 campaign so far consisting of humbling drubbings by England and France.
Whether they can clinch a first Test win since November remains to be seen, but they certainly have their work cut out for them.
Here is everything you need to know about the match...

Wales vs Scotland team news
After being hammered at home to France last time out, Steve Tandy has rolled the dice on a somewhat experimental lineup.
There is a debut in line for 25-year-old Leicester winger Gabriel Hamer-Webb, who comes in for Ellis Mee.
Elsewhere, Sam Costelow comes in at No10 in place of Dan Edwards, making his first appearance for the national side since July.

There are a pair of changes in the scrum, too, as second row Adam Beard and flanker Olly Cracknell make way for Ben Carter and Taine Plumtree, respectively, with Aaron Wainwright reassigned to No8.
Three fresh faces appear on the bench, too, as Freddie Thomas, James Botham and Blair Murray are added to the matchday squad for the first time this campaign.
Blair Kinghorn and Duhan van der Merwe are both restored to the side for Scotland after being dropped against England, with the hope being the pair can get back to form against struggling Wales.

Van der Merwe replaces the injured Jamie Dobie, while Kinghorn stands in at full-back for Tom Jordan, who drops to the bench.
As with their hosts, Scotland have decided to rotate the forward pack, with Dave Cherry returning at hooker.
In the back row, injuries to Jamie Ritchie and Jack Dempsey have forced the introduction of Matt Fagerson and Gregor Brown, with Max Williamson also added to the mix.

Wales vs Scotland prediction
Two matches into the 2026 Six Nations, this Wales team are in a sorry state. They have just 19 points to show for 160 minutes of rugby, and have conceded five times as many.
Granted, they have faced two of the best sides in the competition to date. But there is no looking past such a glaring record.
Scotland, meanwhile, put on a show as they dispatched England at Murrayfield last weekend, and will head to Cardiff brimming with confidence.
The quality of either team aside, Scotland’s momentum could almost be enough to see them through.
Scotland to win by 25 points.
