Wales star Ellis Jenkins and fiancée Sophie Evans have revealed they are expecting their first child.
Jenkins announced the happy news on his Instagram account, posting a picture of the pair during their holiday in Ibiza holding an ultrasound snap.
"I’m drinking for 2 because she’s eating for 2. The heir to my throne is due December ‘22," Jenkins wrote. Mirroring her partner, Sophie wrote on her account: "He’s drinking for 2 because I’m eating for 2. Baby Jenk due December ‘22."
The pair were flooded with congratulatory messages from friends, including Wales scrum-half Rhys Webb, who wrote: "Congrats both awesome news," while actor Craig Gallivan said: "Wow!!!!! Amazing news. Big love to you all."
The pair got engaged on Christmas Day last year after the Cardiff skipper popped the question.
Jenkins was cut from Wayne Pivac's Six Nations squad just four months after winning plaudits after his triumphant Test return against South Africa last autumn. He hasn't been included in the touring party to head to the home of the world champions this summer.
Tonypandy's Sophie rose to stardom as a finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber's talent show Over The Rainbow, went on to play Dorothy in the hit stage show The Wizard Of Oz and most recently reprised her role of Glinda in smash West End hit Wicked.
