Cardiff rugby players have been praised after coming to the aid of an injured woman in the city centre.
Josh Adams, Tomos Williams, Lloyd Williams and Ben Thomas, who are all Wales internationals, acted swiftly after an incident on Thursday that’s believed to have involved a car near the City Arms on Quay Street.
The woman sustained a serious leg injury.
The four players took control of the situation, alerting the club’s medical team who appeared on the scene with gas and air and administered treatment, stablising the woman's fractured leg. Other players then turned up with blankets while they waited for an ambulance.
The calmness and professionalism of those involved in comforting and helping the woman was said to have been outstanding.
On social media, those who provided assistance were praised, with Celyn Ferris saying: “Massive shout out to the players and doctors at @Cardiff-rugby for quickly coming to the aid of a lady who had broken her leg in the town centre today! They rushed over with blankets and medical equipment before the ambulance arrived! What a team #cardiffrugby #teamgoals
