Wales rugby international's stunning moment of skill watched by 14 million people

Tomos Williams has again become the centre of attention on TikTok for his jaw-dropping skill in the Rugby World Cup.

The effort occurred in Wales' pool match against Australia in 2019. Wales won by just four points in a 29-25 scoreline in Tokyo, so the Cardiff Rugby man's ingenuity proved crucial.

Former Leicester Tigers stand-off Matt To'omua produced a colossal kick to touch after the Wallabies were awarded a penalty, and Williams acrobatically dived outside of the field, slapping the ball back in to play whilst remaining completely airbourne the entire time.

The lineout would have been in a hugely threatening position at a very late stage in the game too, so it was all the more important that Williams kept the ball alive.

The scrum-half's smart thinking then allowed Warren Gatland's team to clear their lines and wind down the clock.

Video of the moment has been posted on TikTok by the official Rugby World Cup channel, raking in 14 millions views to become one of the most popular rugby videos right now. It has previously been viewed 41 million times when first posted.

You can watch the moment of genius below.

"It would have been one the best kicks into touch as well" said one viewer.

"I was at this game, one of the best games I've seen live" said another.

Tries from Hadleigh Parkes and Jonathan Davies helped secure the win for Wales on the day.

Wales will face Australia again in the group stages at the 2023 tournament, with their Pool C clash taking place on Sunday, September 24th in Lyon.

Williams has been included in Gatland's World Cup training squad for the World Cup later this year, and with Rhys Webb retiring, Wales supporters will be hoping the Cardiff man can produce some more magical moments, as he did four years ago.
