This is how Wales players rated following their Euro 2024 qualifying match against Croatia.
DANNY WARD - 5
Saved well from Modric and Kramaric in the first 15 minutes but could do little to keep out the latter's opener. Rooted to the spot when Perisic hit the bar from an impossible angle.
CONNOR ROBERTS - 4
Was pegged back for most of the night and didn't look comfortable against Sosa.
CHRIS MEPHAM - 5
Put his body on the line on a number of occasions, with the visitors under the cosh. Nervy on the ball, mind, and his positioning was questionable.

JOE RODON - 5
Under pressure all evening but coped OK. Like Mepham, headed anyway anything that came his way.
NECO WILLIAMS - 4
Playing at left-back, he was pinned back for most of the night. Got in a right old mess for the opening goal and was sloppy in possession too on occasion.
ETHAN AMPADU - 5 - (STAR MAN)
Wales' calmest on the ball, when they actually had it. Could do with two of him. Booked.
JOE MORRELL - 4
Up against a world-class player in Modric, it was always going to be a tough evening. Game seemed to pass him by.
HARRY WILSON - 4
Tried his luck from 25 yards with a bending free-kick in the first half but overcooked it. Teed up James in second half after industrious run. Hooked.
AARON RAMSEY - 5
The skipper couldn't knit play around him mainly because Wales didn't have any of the ball. Tried to take game by scruff in second half before being subbed on the hour.
DANIEL JAMES - 4
Tracked back to help his team-mates out and looked OK on the counter but his final ball continues to make your teeth itch. Snatched at Wales' best chance, albeit a difficult one. Subbed.
KIEFFER MOORE - 5
Had to do his fair share of defending. Cut an isolated figure in the original 4-2-3-1 formation. Won many a ball in the air but had no-one to link with. Subbed.
