Nathan Broadhead's call-up to the Wales senior squad could be the start of something special for the Everton loanee. Despite his injuries, the Sunderland forward has been one of the Black Cats this season, scoring 13 goals in 26 appearances.
His fine form has seen him rewarded with a call-up to Rob Page's squad for June's World Cup play-off final and four Nations League games. Wales will face either Scotland or Ukraine in Cardiff on Sunday, June 5, as they aim to qualify for a first World Cup since 1958.
Prior to that they'll face Poland in the Nations League, and then host the Netherlands and Belgium on June 8 and 11 before travelling to the Netherlands for the final game on June 14. Broadhead has been included in the 27-man squad and could make his international debut next month.

It's been testament to his fine performances this season. Broadhead arrived on Wearside very much as an unknown quantity but has gone down as a fan favourite for his lively performances.
The Everton loanee has chipped in with his fair share of important goals, the later winner over Shrewsbury and the only goal of the game against Morecambe away to name a few. The Black Cats striker will be hoping this is the start of a special week as he looks to break into Alex Neils' starting XI for Wembley.
The Welshman came off the bench in the second-leg of the play-off semi-final against Hillsborough. A 12 day rest should give the loanee ample time to rest and recover and be in the best possible shape ahead of the clash with Wycombe.
