Rob Page is set to sign a four-year deal with the Football Association of Wales ahead of the World Cup.
The 47-year-old was previously an assistant to Ryan Giggs but was promoted to the role of interim head coach following the Manchester United legend's arrest in November 2020.
Page went on to become the full-time men's head coach of his country and has enjoyed remarkable success during his time in the managerial hot seat.
He guided Wales into League A of the Nations League before steering the Red Dragons into the knockout stages of Euro 2020 last summer. Then, earlier this year, he was at the helm for famous victories over Austria and Ukraine in the play-offs as Wales booked their place at a World Cup for the first time since 1958.
Page is hugely admired in the dressing room, and as a reward for his achievements, he is now set to be handed a long-term deal by the FAW to remain as Wales manager. His current deal is due to expire following the conclusion of Wales' involvement in the Qatar tournament.
Wales return to action next month as they face Belgium and Poland in the Nations League.
They kick-start their World Cup campaign against the United States of America on November 21 before facing Iran four days later. They then take on England on November 29 in what will be their final fixture of the group stage.
