A mum was horrified after finding a spider's nest embedded into her Waitrose banana.
Michelle, from Edinburgh, noticed a strange "blister" when unpacking her fruit from her food shop. The Waitrose Essential range bananas had been wrapped in plastic but underneath the wrapper was an unusual bump.
The shopper called to her husband, Martin, as they examined the lump together. He put the fruit into the sink and poked at it with a fork as hundreds of baby spiders escaped from it, reported Edinburgh Live.
