The chain allegedly photoshopped her belly button piercing
(Picture: TikTok )Hooters has been called out, yet again, after a waitress claimed the risqué restaurant chain photoshopped her belly button in one of their Instagram posts.
In a viral clip that racked 3.1 million views, Sandra (@user109863929) looked confused as she shared the image-in-question. The audio reiterated her facial expressions, saying, “what the f*ck was that?”
At first glance, it wasn’t entirely clear what they had allegedly edited until Sandra posted a follow-up video of a “belly button reveal” to show that she has a piercing.
One speculated that it could have been done to comply with a potential piercing policy. “I think it’s because you’re not supposed to have piercings when you work there,” they suggested.
But Sandra was quick to say that her Hooters branch in Waco, Texas, does allow body piercings.

“Bro, Hooters are going to catch a lawsuit if they keep on playing games. First the shorts, now this – the scandal”, one user commented, to which Sandra replied, “It’s not a scandal! Just posted as a joke.”
Just last week, Hooters was forced to backtrack their new uniform after some workers described the shorter shorts as resembling “underwear.”
Many Hooters’ waitresses took to TikTok to showcase their questionable ensemble and voice their concerns.
“So, this is what I’m supposed to be wearing... and I hate it,” 22-year-old Hooters bartender Kirsten Songer said.
“The new black shorts, they do not have a bottom, they have a crotch string. So they sit like this... oh look, a wedgie!
“There is no longer anything covered by these shorts. And this is what the problem with the new shorts is, this is why all of the Hooters girls are upset. Because this is not what I agreed to wear a year ago when I was hired.”
In a statement, Hooters said they “appreciate the feedback, both positive and negative.”
They added that the Hooters’ waitresses “have the option to choose from traditional uniforms or the new ones.
“They can determine which style of shorts best fits their body style and personal image.”
Hooters also added that the new-style shorts “were the result of a collaboration with Hooters Girls and have been worn for months in several Texas markets with overwhelmingly positive feedback.”
