Make sure to complete the tutorial at the beginning of VV Ultimatum, because it teaches you how to deflect various types of attacks, which is key to success. You'll also get a reward once you defeat the tutorial boss, which will give you a head start. There are 3 Races to choose from: Quincy, Shinigami, and Hollow, so go with the one that best matches your gaming style. To progress faster, complete Daily and Main Story quests, Faction Missions in the base, and explore the worlds as much as possible.
