A man suffered serious facial injuries after being assaulted and robbed by a pair of thugs in a Renfrew park.
The 25-year-old, who has been described as "vulnerable", was in the town's Robertson Park when he was targeted by the duo between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday night.
During the violent incident, personal items and a black mountain bike with white breaks were taken.
The victim was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment with an investigation launched to find those respoonsible for carrying out the "vicious" attack.
The first suspect is described as a white male aged in his late teens or early 20s with blonde hair.
He was wearing a white hooded top, dark tracksuit bottoms, dark trainers and was carrying an over the shoulder strap pouch bag and a glass bottle.
The second suspect is described as a white male aged in his late teens or early 20s with dark hair.
He was wearing a blue tracksuit top, bright blue tracksuit bottoms, checked scarf, dark trainers and was carrying a dark rucksack with stripes on the rear and a glass bottle.
Police Scotland's Detective Constable James Campbell said: “This was a vicious, unprovoked attack on a vulnerable young man who has ended up in hospital as a result.
“It’s vital we trace those responsible and I would urge anyone with information about what happened or who recognises the description of these males to get in touch with us.”
