Voodoo looks to be working some serious money magic with their latest Canzo and Canzo Pro full-suspension bikes

Halfords own brand Voodoo Bikes has always been among the best bargain mountain bikes for riders getting into off-road riding on a tight budget. The all-new Canzo full suspension bikes launching today are significantly more expensive than they used to be, but you’re getting a lot more bike now. 

That means they’re not just for beginners, but serious shredders that the Voodoo team says are ready for bike park or off-piste action. The totally up-to-date frame design and high durability, brand name components make them a proper long-term investment not just a disposable gateway bike too.

All new frame

Both Canzo bikes get the same totally new butted 6061 alloy chassis with internal cable routing, Boost rear axle spacing, down tube bottle cage mount, and even a UDH hanger. The 140mm of travel comes via a classic four-bar rocker link set up with a rear pivot on the chainstay, 65-degree head angle, 77.5-degree seat angle short seat tubes, and reach measurements of 433mm, 455mm and 478mm on S, M, and L frames respectively create a promising handling dynamic too.

Basic black 10 speed or pimpin' 12 speed builds

The Canzo complete bikes come in two versions, the basic Canzo and the Canzo Pro. Paying £1400 for the Canzo gets you a RockShox 35 Silver R fork and RockShox Deluxe Select rear shock, with Shimano CUES 1x10 gears and MT201 Hydraulic Disc brakes. You get Maxxis Forekaster 29x2.4 on broad tubeless-ready wheels too, so the only obvious thing missing is a dropper post.

Paying another £400 for the Canzo Pro earns you a RockShox Pike Select fork, RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock, Shimano Deore 1x12 gears, and MT401. The tire/wheel spec gets more aggressive too with a Maxxis Minion DHR II / Maxxis Dissector combo on WTB wheels. You get a dropper as standard too, as well as pimpin’ blue-purple paintwork.
