South Gloucestershire Council has teamed up with e-scooter provider Voi to offer reduced prices on rentals to local residents in Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire.
The reduced rates will be available to those in low-income groups, medical workers and students, offering up to 80% off the standard price.
Proof of eligibility will be required to get the discount, and use of the scooters will only be permitted within operational zones.

Posting on Facebook South Gloucestershire Council, Streetcare said: "We want to help you get around during the cost of living crisis so we are offering discounts of up to 80 per cent for occasional e-scooter use, as well as daily and monthly passes."
Voi offers discounts in a variety of territories. The eco-transport company said on its website: "Our discount programs offer affordable rides for different parts of society. These are designed in partnership with cities and local communities and are usually eligible for low-income groups, medical workers or students."
Those wishing to apply need to apply on Voi's website, and the discount is only applied once an application has been approved and acknowledged in confirmation from Voi.

Voi 4 Heroes
Offers NHS staff, Blue Light Card holders, military personnel and veterans with a 50% discount on a Voi Pass.

Includes those from low-income groups, refugees and asylum seekers, disabled people and older people 65+, with an 82.5% discount in Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire.

A valid student identification card (students or staff) for higher education institutions in the United Kingdom.
