Vodafone takes full ownership of VodafoneThree venture in £4.3bn deal

Britain’s biggest mobile phone network was formed earlier this year with the merger of Vodafone’s UK business and rival Three UK - (PA)

Vodafone will take full ownership of its VodafoneThree business in the UK after buying out partner CK Hutchison in a £4.3 billion deal.

The VodafoneThree business became the UK’s largest mobile operator after the merger of mobile operators Vodafone and Three in the UK last year, with Vodafone taking a 51 per cent stake in the joint venture and Hong Kong-based Three owner CK Hutchison taking a 49 per cent stake.
