Vladimir Putin will face ‘catastrophic consequences’ if he uses nuclear weapons

Vladimir Putin has been warned of the "catastrophic consequences" over his chilling nuclear weapons threat to Ukraine.

The Russia leader made the latest threat to Ukraine on Wednesday after he declared would use any weapons to defend its territory.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was asked at the weekend if Moscow would consider using nuclear weapons to defend annexed regions.
