Vladimir Putin's supporters snap up patriotic 'Z' underwear to back his war in Ukraine

Vladimir Putin's backers in Russia are buying "patriotic lingerie" in support of his war in Ukraine.

The underwear, which is emblazoned with the letter "Z", was spotted on sale in the city of Tver, Russia.

The letter Z was originally daubed on Kremlin military vehicles to identify them during the war in Ukraine.

However, it soon turned into a sign of support for Russian troops and has been printed on stickers, flags and even toys.

Vandals also sprayed the toxic symbol on the doors of Putin's critics.

Social media users have now mocked so-called "patriotic lingerie" which features the "Z" symbol.

One Twitter user wrote: "The best contraception ever."

A second person added: "Better than chastity pants, instant passion killer."

Another said: "Dmn [sic] how low can they get? What next, Letter Z tattooed on their private parts?"

It comes after vandals in Russia scrawled the letter "Z" on the doors of opponents of the war in Ukraine.

Kremlin supporters also waved "Z" emblazoned flags at a "pro-Russia" rally at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium in March.

The event was held one month after Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine.

The despot promised those in attendance that all of the Kremlin's aims would be achieved as the crowds chanted "Russia, Russia, Russia".

However, a secret member of Putin ’s elite is now said to have revealed that the Kremlin is in panic and desperate for the bloody war to end.

The official has secretly approached the West to help end the Ukraine invasion, it was claimed last night.

Astonishing claims about the move were made in a report circulated to Western intelligence agencies.

It is believed senior officers and officials close to Putin are alarmed by biting Western sanctions and the failing economy caused by war.

Some Kremlin figures are also concerned about the increasingly alarming risks being taken such as fighting at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

The approach is likely to have been made to CIA contacts or Western diplomats, behind Putin’s back.

The Daily Mirror understands the leaked “situation report” is being taken seriously by intelligence agencies.

The document says: “A representative of Putin’s inner-circle sent a signal to the West about the desire to negotiate. The mood of the Kremlin elite is panic.”

The amazing claims goes on to label the unnamed Kremlin insider as “one of the pillars of the regime”.

The insider would be in extreme danger, along with their family, if they were named and Putin has already had several purges, firing military commanders and senior spies.
