As Canelo Alvarez looks for his next opponent— Vladamir Shishkin could be in the mix.
The current IBF’s Number 2 contender devastated Ramon Ayala last Friday Miccosukee Indian Gaming Resort in Miami, Florida.
“I watched the Canelo fight closely the day after my fight and feel completely ready to win when that opportunity comes. No matter what, all roads to the world title,” Shishkin said in a media statement.

At age 32, Shishkin has already defeated one former world champion: José Uzcátegui. Shishkin won a unanimous descion over at Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitian Las Vegas on December 17, 2022. Shishkin ring success in the professional ranks builds on a solid amateur record of 301-29 in his native Russia.
