An Edinburgh bus service has been given a lifeline after it was due to be axed this year.
The announced cancellation of the Stagecoach 101/102 service between the capital and Dumfries had seen huge uproar from the local community, with many protesting the decision.Described as a 'vital' route by many, a petition had been launched by local residents with hopes of saving it, with the page collecting over 8,000 signatures.
However, a decision this week after further funding was injected now means the bus will run until at least March 2023.
