The issue of e-scooters in public spaces was brought home by this picture taken at Sefton Park over the weekend.
It shows a number of the e-scooters left on the perimeter of the park area.
Under new rules introduced last year, riders were meant to only be able to leave vehicles in specifically marked zones.

Voi, which operates the e-scooter system under an agreement with Liverpool Council, said at the time that the move would help the system operate more effectively and keep pavements and roads clear.
It was one of a series of changes made to the system amid the hugely increased popularity of e-scooters in Liverpool, accompanied with a number of serious complaints about safety following a number of incidents.
Tom Walker, 57, who is registered blind and campaigns on disability issues, said: "On Sunday lunchtime, I was walking around Sefton Park with a friend when we noticed some seven or eight e-scooters [...]
"On a number of occasions, the e-scooter operator, Voi, have said that riders would be required to provide photographic evidence that they had parked their e-scooter correctly, in one of the designated bays."
A spokesperson from Voi said: "The e-scooters in the photograph are parked within the mandatory parking zone, which is clearly visible to users in the Voi app.
"However, despite our continuous efforts to educate riders on parking correctly, we appreciate that on this occasion they have parked in the way of others.
"Every rider is asked to submit a photo at the end of their journey, which is reviewed individually by Voi, to ensure they have parked correctly and safely. If they don't follow the rules, we issue a fine to these riders for their poor parking.
"Safety is our number one priority and as a responsible operator, we will continue to monitor this parking location to ensure this situation doesn’t happen again."
