New Delhi: The VHP on Thursday attacked the Congress over its decision to sing only the first two stanzas of Vande Mataram at all party events, alleging that the opposition party is driven by a "foreign mindset" and cannot survive without appeasement politics.
The Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Wednesday decided to abide by a 1937 resolution of the party's highest decision-making body on Vande Mataram, saying only two stanzas of the national song will be sung at all party events henceforth.
