'Be watchful' on national security, says minister backing UK universities offering places to Chinese students

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has defended universities offering courses to thousands of Chinese students but stressed they should be “watchful" when it comes to national security.

She emphasised that Chinese students "make an important contribution to our universities".
