Visakhapatnam task force cops seize pain killer drug

VISAKHAPATNAM Police Vizag

VISAKHAPATNAM: City task force police seized 270 injections of Pentazocine, which is listed as a psychotropic drug, in MVP Colony police station limits in Vizag city.

Based on credible information about the selling of Pentazocine injection, police have conducted a raid and nabbed Kalla Hari Padma Raghava Rao (43), a resident of Bheemili. Investigation revealed that the accused used to purchase Pentazocine lactate injections from one Anupam Adhikary, a native of Kharagpur in West Bengal, at 2,000 per box (each box containing 50 ampules) and sell the same to his known customers in Vizag city for 6,000 per box. An investigation is underway to find the source of the drug and the local clientele of the accused.
