Visa issues deny Ex-SPFL star dream return, ahead of Europa League showdown

Former Motherwell favourite Moses Ebiye has been denied the chance of a dream return to Fir Park after he was one of two HB Torshavn stars refused a visa for Thursday's Euro showdown.

Motherwell face Havnar Boltfelag in the European Conference League this week with the first leg at Fir Park.

They were expected to come up against a familiar face - Ebiye made 33 league appearances for Motherwell before moving to the Faroes in April.

He scored five goals for the club, including in three consecutive games two years ago.

He's scored two goals for his new club this season, but wasn't on their flight to Scotland, along with Senegalese midfielder Amidou Diop.

Reports on the North Atlantic island have stated that the duo were not granted visas in time by the UK Government and weren't able to travel to Scotland.

However, both of them will be available for the second leg next week.
