Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk says he is motivated for the new season with new players arriving and after conversations with Jurgen Klopp.
By his own high standards it was a disappointing campaign for Van Dijk, which coincided with an underwhelming season for the Reds. At the start of January, it appeared that European football would not be coming bacl to Anfield. But a turnaround in fortunes and a late surge secured a Europa League place.
Despite that, a midfield overhaul is in the offing for Liverpool. Alexis Mac Allister has arrived as the first piece of the puzzle as Klopp looks to continue acquiring players to bolster his squad.
