Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma attend Krishna Das kirtan in London - Watch

NEW DELHI: After winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, India's batting legend Virat Kohli has been enjoying a peaceful time with his family in London.

During their time together in London, Virat and his wife, Anushka Sharma, attended a kirtan (musical chanting of the name of God) led by Krishna Das at Union Chapel. Das, known as the 'Rock Star of Yoga', combines classical Indian chants with modern music.

A video of Virat and Anushka at the kirtan is circulating widely on social media.

Anushka also shared a picture from the kirtan on her Instagram stories and tagged Das.

Das, originally named Jeffrey Kagel, is an American singer renowned for his performances of Hindu devotional music.

Virat is currently on a break from cricket, having announced his retirement from T20Is after playing a match-winning knock in the T20 World Cup final on June 29 against South Africa in Barbados. India won the title with a seven-run win in the final.

Meanwhile, a young Indian team led by Shubman Gill is currently on the tour of Zimbabwe for a five-match T20I series. Both Virat and Rohit Sharma, along with several other senior players, have been rested for the tour.

After the Zimbabwe tour, India will travel to Sri Lanka for three T20 Internationals and three ODIs in July and August, with the matches taking place in Pallekele and Colombo, according to the BCCI.

India have yet to announce the squad for the Sri Lanka tour, but reports suggest that senior players like Virat and Rohit will be rested for this tour as well.
