Viral hair removal tool on sale in Penneys for just €1.50 as reviews suggest it's better than traditional methods

A budget-friendly dupe of the viral wishbone spring tool is available in Penneys for those looking for a quick and easy way to remove unwanted hairs.

The product has been on sale in the Irish chain for a few years, but recent trends on social media have made it a must-have.

Penneys are selling the tool as part of their “PS…” line at a very budget-friendly price of €1.50.

The product, simply called “hair removal tool”, is said to remove unwanted hairs from your face or body.

It works by plucking hair from the root as it is rolled over the area, with hairs getting caught in the texture of the spring. The packaging doesn’t state which areas to use it on, but common places include the neck, chin, cheeks and upper lip.

Using this wishbone-shaped tool is not entirely painless, but it has been likened to the pain of threading and is faster. The wider consensus is that it is as painful as plucking, and less painful than waxing and epilating, RSVP reports.

The best part of this product is that it is on sale for just €1.50, which means you can try out a new method of hair removal without dropping lots of cash on it. If it works for you, plenty of money and time can be saved from the salon appointments you no longer have to make.

Other versions of this hair remover are on sale for upwards of €25.

Reviews of such products say that the benefits over waxing or shaving is that the hair grows back in soft and, because it is being plucked away at the root, it does not grow back quickly, RSVP reports.
