Three men who used a saw, ‘a metal pole’ and a table leg during a terrifying Bolton street brawl have been jailed.
Last May, a violent fight broke out between five men on Bromwich Street in The Haulgh — with weapons being used to inflict ‘significant’ injury, the court heard today (February 4).
During the evening fracas on May 29, Luke Bracegirdle, Jack Bent, and Andrew Williamson rose to two other men — Daniel Llewellyn and Michael Allen — who were ‘spoiling for confrontation’, judge Peter Wright QC said today.

The three men appeared before Bolton Crown Court on Monday morning for sentencing after Llewellyn and Allen were both jailed for the attacks last month.
The court heard that after Llewellyn and Allen arrived at an address on Bromwich Street, Bracegirdle, 30, came rushing out with a metal pole which he used to beat Llewellyn.
Bracegirdle, who appeared in court in-person, continued his attack on Llewellyn even after his victim fell to the floor.
Jack Bent, 26, also attacked Llewellyn with a table leg, hitting him in the ‘head and torso’, Mr Wright summarised.
Williamson, 22, also punched and kicked the man.
Both Bent and Williamson heard of their fate via video link from Forest Bank Prison in Salford.
“These are offences that are so serious that only a custodial sentence can follow,” Recorder Wright QC told the trio, who each admitted their part in the attack.
“The issue is how much each of you must serve.”
He added that the sentences were ‘aggravated’ by the ‘location in this public street’ of the offending.
Luke Bracegirdle, of Settle Street, Great Lever, was sentenced to 26 months for violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. Andrew Williamson will serve 18 months for violent disorder.
Jack Bent was also charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon — but also admitted to attacking another woman in a separate incident in September 2021, resulting in actual bodily harm.
For those three offences, he was jailed for 48 months.
