An investigation into a violent home robbery in Isabella Plains in February led police to five arrests and a cache of bullets, knives, cash and drugs at the residence of one of the suspects.
On the evening of February 5, 2026, multiple people allegedly forcibly entered an Isabella Plains home, seriously assaulted a man who lived there and fled with a safe, ACT Policing said. The safe was later found abandoned in Greenway.
As part of the investigation, four people were charged in connection with the violent robbery.
On Tuesday, police located and arrested a further person of interest, a 33-year-old man.
His residence in Braddon was searched and investigators found 10 shotgun shells, 79 rounds of .22 ammunition, two large knives and a large quantity of cash.
Police also found a large quantity of a clear crystalline substance suspected to be methylamphetamine and other items used in the trafficking of illicit drugs.
The man was subsequently charged with procure aggravated burglary, possessing ammunition, trafficking in a controlled substance other than cannabis and breach of parole obligations.
He faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday via a bedside hearing.
The investigation into the home robbery is continuing with further search warrant activity expected, police said.
