A vintage saucy Tennent's “Lager Lovelies” beer can has been found on the remote island of St Kilda – 112 miles from the mainland.
The archipelago is only inhabited by defence workers manning a missile firing tracking site and about a dozen seasonal conservation workers.
The 50-year-old can – featuring an attractive woman on the side – was found by a member of the St Kilda Rangers.
He posted on social media : “Well, would you look at this!
“Even on St Kilda you never know what to expect when you start to repair an old building.
“We believe this artefact, found under the floorboards, dates to c.1972-77.
“A Tennent’s beer can that features one of their Lager Lovelies – Lee!”
The Lager Lovelies or Tennent’s girls was a marketing campaign first introduced in 1965 and used until 1993.
The cans had pictures of women in revealing outfits to attract male consumers.
