Vinod Kambli sings a song, Sachin Tendulkar claps - WATCH

Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli, the two famous students of the late cricket coach Ramakant Achrekar, reunited on Tuesday to unveil their coach's memorial in Mumbai on his birth anniversary, and Kambli marked the occasion by singing a song.

Scenes of Tendulkar shaking hands with Kambli, who visibly looked unwell and fumbled while addressing the audience, went viral on social media.

Kambli was later seen singing a line from the famous old Bollywood song 'sar jo tera chakraye ya dil dooba jaaye', at the end of which Tendulkar clapped for his former school and India teammate.

Kambli ended his address in Marathi with "Love you, (Achrekar) sir".

Tendulkar and Kambli first made headlines when they stitched a partnership of 664 runs for their school, Shardashram Vidyamandir, in a Harris Shield match. Both scored unbeatel triple centuries in the match.

Tendulkar went on to become a cricket icon over his career spanning 200 Tests and 463 ODIs, which included 100 international centuries and many more world records.

But Kambli went off the radar and played just 17 Tests, besides featuring in 104 ODIs after a prolific start to his career, which included two double centuries in Tests. He ended with 1084 runs in the red-ball format. In ODIs, he racked up 2477 runs, including two centuries.
