NEW DELHI: Star wrestler Vinesh Phogat has stirred controversy at the selection trials for the Paris Olympics by demanding a written assurance from authorities regarding a final trial in the women's 53kg weight class.
Phogat, who had previously competed in the 53kg category but shifted to 50kg due to Antim Panghal earning an Olympic quota in the former, insisted on clarity to ensure her position in the reckoning for the Paris Games.
