India received the most heartbreaking news from Paris on Wednesday when Vinesh Phogat, who had created history the day before by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to reach an Olympic final, was disqualified from the 50kg freestyle event after being found overweight.

Vinesh weighed 100 grams over 50kg at the official weigh-in on the day of the final.
