Jay Vine has had another fine day in his neck of the Andorran woods, the Australian grabbing more points to tighten his grip at the top of the King of the Mountains standings in the Vuelta a Espana.
But while the Queenslander was extending his lead on another mountainous slog between his Andorran home and the Pyrenean ski resort of Cerler, the day belonged to his star UAE Team Emirates-XRG colleague Juan Ayuso, who put on a virtuoso display to win the seventh stage by 75 seconds.
It was the third day in succession that the UAE team could celebrate a stage win after their team time trial victory on Wednesday and Vine's audacious solo triumph on Thursday.
