Villagers in Keyworth have shared concerns following plans put forward for 75 new homes in the village.
If approved by Rushcliffe Borough Council, the village will have 75 new homes on land at Hillside Farm, Bunny Lane, in Keyworth.
The proposed plans - by developers Barratt David Wilson Homes - would see a mix of two to five bedroom homes, with 11 of the homes being affordable housing.

The Hillside Farm site was previously identified as a housing allocation site as apart of Rushcliffe Borough Council's local plan to build hundreds of homes by 2028.
The village has seen three major developments, the Nicker Hill development, Spinners Croft and Keyworth Rise and local residents think these developments are enough and the village won't 'cope' with additional homes.
Seventy-two-year-old Sonia Durston, moved to Keyworth from Luton a year ago, she said: “I have objected to it. I feel that the infrastructure now is such that we have had three large developments. I don't think the village can cope.
“I don’t think the plans look well developed. Overall I’m not really pleased. It’s a lovely village, very friendly. We’ve just completed a year here and people are very welcoming.”
The plans include access from Bunny Lane, 185 car parking spaces, public open space and a play area aimed at children ages four to eight. In 2021 there were plans for the site for 77 new homes where residents said the village would become a 'mundane housing estate if new homes are approved'.
Eddie Pettipher, 73, has lived in the village for 40 years, he said: “The easy answer is we already have an excess of what is required. It is a very old village. New people coming in has got to be a good thing. Newcomers aren’t the problem, it's the particular development. It’s one more than needed and there’s already three large ones. It’s out stood the village plans.”
Another resident, Jodie Vickers , 46, said: “I feel that we don’t have enough facilities for these extra homes. Where are the extra schools, doctors and infrastructure to accommodate new families in the area? It’s a lovely area to live and there’s a nice community feel here but I’m just not too happy about all the plans.”
A spokesperson for Barratt Homes North Midlands said: “We have submitted plans for a proposed development of 75 properties south of Bunny Lane in Keyworth, on land which was allocated for housing in the Rushcliffe Local Plan in 2019.
“If approved, the development will feature a mix of two to five bedroom properties, including 15 affordable homes, to help meet the demand for high quality housing in the area.
"Considerable investment would be made in Keyworth, and contributions towards local infrastructure such as improvements to highways and public transport services will be agreed with the local authority once planning permission is granted.”
